Antigonish Under-16 Stoirm team finished second at the Howard Jackson tournament last weekend in Truro. Antigonish Stoirm, coached by Bernie Wallace and Randy Pettipas, finished second at the Howard Jackson Invitational volleyball tournament last weekend in Truro.
The team was competing in the Under-16 category and dropped the final match 25-19, 25-21 to the host Truro Cougars.
Antigonish opened the tournament with a 25-20, 25-21 win over the Cougars and followed up with a victory (25-20, 25-18) over the Sackville Sonics.
The Stoirm team defeated the Dal Tigers Team 1 by a score of 25-12 and 25-13 and got the best of the Dal Team 2 by 25-18, 25-20 scores.
The team will resume action in three weeks in Truro.
