SYDNEY, N.S. — LaFosse MacLeod Law Office has welcomed Ian Parker and Stephanie Myles as partners in the Cape Breton law firm.
Both have both been practicing lawyers since 2012, and joined the firm early in their careers.
“I have been impressed with Ian and Stephanie’s work ethic and commitment to providing quality legal work throughout their careers,” said Guy LaFosse, who started the law firm in 2002, in a press release.
“I am very proud to see them take over the reins at this firm.”
Parker and Myles have both developed general legal practices, providing services in wills, estates, real estate transactions, commercial and civil litigation, and criminal defence, according to a press release from the law firm.
“Guy LaFosse is well known for taking on some of the most complex litigation files in the province,” said Parker, who joined the firm in 2014. “It has been a privilege to learn from him and incorporate his teachings into my own practice.”
Myles added: “Practising law in Cape Breton, at LaFosse MacLeod, is an ideal opportunity — serving great clients, doing interesting work, against the backdrop of a beautiful landscape.”
LaFosse started the law firm in 2002 with Lee Anne MacLeod Archer, who is now a Justice of the Nova Scotia Supreme Court (family division).
He’s been practicing law in Cape Breton for 45 years and will continue to practice at the firm as counsel, alongside Parker, Myles and associate Michelle Lahey, who joined the firm in 2019.
