ANTIGONISH, N.S. - The annual Lessons and Carols Service at St. Paul’s Anglican Church on Church Street will be held on a Saturday this year.

In order to avoid a conflict with other concerts at this time, the service will be on Dec. 15 and begin at 6 p.m.

“This will give concertgoers who are booked to go to the Canadian Association for Community Living (CACL) concert at 8 p.m. the chance to attend both, with ease,” Pauline Liengme, parish warden, said.

“The doors open at St Paul’s at 5:30 p.m. and the goodwill collection will be for the food bank, as always,” she added.

“And we hope the audience will stay for seasonal refreshments after the service.”

This year’s event will feature local soloists and duettists, including three high school students; Asta-Merie Stalker, Ruthie Stanley-Blackwell and Sebastian Charles.

Everyone is welcome to what has become the spiritual start of the Christmas season for many.
