The Good Brothers will take centre stage Saturday night in Guysborough.
The Chedabucto Place Association will host the event at Chedabucto Place Performance Centre, starting at 7 p.m.
The multi-award winning, iconic Canadian group formed in the early 1970s.
In 1970, twin brothers Bruce and Brian Good of Richmond Hill, Ontario, met James Ackroyd from Winnipeg, Manitoba, and formed James and The Good Brothers.
Three years later, Ackroyd chose to stay in the U.S., while the brothers returned to Canada and recruited younger brother Larry, and The Good Brothers were born.
They became known for ‘simple, straight from the soul music’ that encompassed country, bluegrass, folk, celtic and the occasional piece from their rock and roll songbook.
The eight-time Juno Award winners for best country group are members of the Canadian and North American music halls of fame.
Having appeared at the 2017 Cavendish Music Festival Main Stage, The Good Brothers are also making their 40th European tour.
Tickets for the Guysborough show can be purchased by calling 902-533-2015, or visiting the box office, which is located at the Chedabucto Lifestyle Complex, Green Street, Guysborough (across from the school).
