ANTIGONISH, N.S. — A 32-year-old man from Saltsprings, Antigonish County, is dead after a motor vehicle collision that took place during the noon hour Friday (June 28).
At 12:45 p.m., Antigonish RCMP members responded to a call at the Beech Hill Road roundabout.
The driver of an ATV, who was not wearing a helmet, was ejected from the vehicle after he lost contol while entering the roundabout.
Witnesses performed CPR on the driver until EHS arrived and took over.
He was pronounced dead shortly after 2 p.m. at St. Martha's Regional Hospital.
The area was closed to traffic until the evening, while an RCMP collision analyst examined the scene.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
