Police are looking for a suspect after a man was stabbed in Dartmouth on Wednesday morning.

Halifax Regional Police patrol officers with a service dog responded to the 50 block of Roleika Drive at 8:20 a.m. They found a 40-year-old man with a stab wound that wasn't life-threatening. He was taken to hospital. 

The attacker, who could not be found during a search of the area, and the victim knew each other, police said in a news release.  

They have identified a suspect but said there is no description at this time.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 902-490-5020 or submit an anonymous tip to Nova Scotia Crime Stoppers.
