PORT HAWKESBURY, N.S. — A Port Hawkesbury area man reported missing last week has been found and is safe, say RCMP.

That was the only information released by police in a press statement issued early Sunday morning other than a thank you to the public for its assistance and retweets on social media.

Darrell LeHay, 40, was reported missing after he did not show last Wednesday. At that point it had been determined that LeHay had last been seen leaving a gas station in Mabou at about 5 p.m. on June 18.

On Saturday, it was reported that the man’s Mazda pickup truck had been located in the parking lot of a service station in Aulds Cove on the mainland side of the Canso Causeway.
