DARTMOUTH, N.S. — A 57-year-old man was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after he was hit by a vehicle on Windmill Road in Dartmouth on Tuesday night.

Halifax police responded to a location on the 300 block of Windmill Road in Dartmouth after getting a report that a pedestrian had been hit.

A member of the forensic identification unit processed the scene, police said in a news release. The release didn't say if the pedestrian had been crossing the road when he was struck.
