SYDNEY, N.S. — An arrest warrant has been issued for a Glace Bay man who failed to attend court to enter pleas on charges including robbery.

James William Ford, 33, of Atlantic Street is also charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose (a knife).

He is charged in connection with a holdup last Aug. 10 at the Subway on Commercial Street in Glace Bay.

Ford was scheduled to appear in court Thursday but in failing to attend, a warrant was issued and was being held until today. Should Ford again fail to attend court today, the warrant will be released to police. The warrant is unendorsed meaning Ford can only be released by a judge as opposed to police.
