Adeline Cameron

Funeral service for the late Adeline Cameron, 78, Port Hawkesbury, was held May 16 in St. Paul’s Church, Havre Boucher, Antigonish County, with Father Allan MacPhie officiating. Mrs. Cameron died May 12, 2019. Born July 18, 1940, in Antigonish, she was a daughter of the late Victor and Margaret DeCoste. Raised in Havre Boucher, she lived in Port Hawkesbury for the last 25 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, playing bingo, watching soap operas, and the occasional visit to the casino. She is survived by two sons, Gordon Cameron, Sydney; Blaise Cameron (Liz), Port Hawkesbury; five grandchildren, Christopher (Nicole) Cameron, Melissa (Brian) Campbell, Caitlin (John Angus) Cameron, Jessica (Brandon) Myalls, Amanda Cameron; eight great-grandchildren, Easton, Ella, Grace, Seth, Charli, Marjorie, Clark, Blake; four sisters, Dolly (Jack) Fraser, Barbara, Teresa (Dennis), Rita (Philip); three brothers, Joe, Gerard (Sandy), Mike; two brothers-in-law, Louie, Arthur; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three sisters, Aggie, Kathleen, Patricia; daughter-in-law, Marjorie. Memorial donations may be made to Diabetes Canada, or St. Paul’s Cemetery Fund.
