AGNES REBECCA LAING

Funeral service for the late Agnes Rebecca (Walsh) Laing, 72, Rockdale, Richmond County, was held June 23 in St. Alban’s Anglican Church, Sally’s Cove, Newfoundland. Burial was in the parish cemetery. Mrs. Laing died June 15, 2019, in Strait Richmond Hospital, Evanston. Born in Sally’s Cove, Nfld., she was a daughter of the late Stephen and Katherine (Connors) Walsh. She is survived by five children, Christine (Joe) Bergen, Juanita (Adrian) Briand, Kevin (Tammy) Laing, Dion (Crystal) Laing, Marjorie (Maor) Head; nine grandchildren, Mark, Teresa (Clint), Marcus, Nolan, Daelin, Rory, Ryan (Emily), Tyler, Timothy; brother, Walter Walsh; sister, Thelma (Wilson) Pond; brother-in-law, Lewis Shears; numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Donald ‘Don’; baby daughter, Myra; sister, Bride Shears; brother, Jimmy Walsh. Memorial donations may be made to Strait Richmond Palliative Care Society.
