Alice Mary Nieforth

Funeral service for the late Alice Mary Nieforth, 94, Port Hawkesbury Nursing Home, formerly of St. Peter’s, was held September 3 in St. Peter’s United Church, St. Peter’s, with Reverend Donna Lovelace officiating. Burial was in the Lakeside Cemetery. Mrs. Nieforth died August 28, 2018, in Strait Richmond Hospital. Born July 5, 1924, in Oban, she was the daughter of the late Alex N. and Annie C. (Campbell) MacDonald. She is survived by son, Ronnie (Donna) Flynn, Grand Anse; daughter, Vera Saltzman (Randy Slawson), Fort Qu’Appelle, Saskatchewan; two stepsons, Alvin Nieforth (late Glenda), Dartmouth; Ralph (Lynn) Nieforth, Sidney, British Columbia; three grandchildren, Brenda, Linda, Blair; four step-grandchildren, Trevor, Sharma, Deanna, Michelle; several great grandchildren, great step grandchildren; one niece; three nephews. She was predeceased by three husbands, Phonse Flynn, Harvey Saltzman, Theodore ‘Ted’ Nieforth; son, Alex; two sisters, Jessie, Catherine; brother, Donald; stepson, Gordon; grandson-in-law, Darren.
