Angus Alexander MacEachern
A private family service for the late Angus Alexander MacEachern, 79, Port Hawkesbury, will be held at a later date.
Mr. MacEachern died October 14, 2018, in Strait Richmond Hospital, Evanston.
Born May 7, 1939, he was a son of the late Donald V. and Florence (MacDougall) MacEachern. He grew up in Creigmore and was employed locally for many years as a machine operator. He enjoyed watching western movies, reading the paper, doing crossword puzzles, playing card and spending time with family and friends. In his younger years, he served for a short time with the Canadian Army.
He is survived by five children, Chris, Port Hawkesbury; Darlene (Scott) Austen, Sugar Camp; Bruce (Kimberly Richards), Port Hawkesbury; Mark (Stephanie), River Denys; Brian (Megan Smith), Port Hawkesbury; their mother, Sarah MacEachern; seven grandchildren; three brothers, Donald V. ‘Buster’, David, Malcolm; sister, Mary Katherine ‘Tootsie’ Gavel; common-law partner, Marion Scott; many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by grandson, Noah MacEachern; three brothers, Bernie, Ralph, Robert; brother-in-law, Eddie Gavel; two sisters-in-law, Susan MacEachern, Donna MacEachern.
Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Nova Scotia or a charity of choice.
