Anne Gillis

Anne Gillis, Mississauga, Ontario, died December 9, 2018, in Etobicoke General Hospital. Born in Iona, Cape Breton, she was a daughter of the late James Joseph and Marion (Venedam) MacNeil. She moved to Antigonish with her parents and siblings in the early 1960s. She later moved to Mississauga, Ontario. She held several jobs,her latest being a custodian with the Toronto Board of Education. She is survived by daughter, Karen Harmer (Brent), Ont.; Corey Gillis, Ont.; two grandchildren, Shawn, Noah; two brothers, Gord MacNeil (Heather), Ottawa, Ont.; Wayne MacNeil (Cheryl), Tiverton, Ontario; three sisters, Cecilia MacNeil, Alice Gillis, Scarborough, Ont.; Debbie MacNeil, Antigonish; several nieces and nephews.
