ANNIE JEANETTE GRANT

A private celebration of life for the late Annie Jeanette Grant, 80, Antigonish, will be held at a later date. Mrs. Grant died June 14, 2019, in the Palliative Care Unit, St. Martha’s Regional Hospital, Antigonish. Born October 20, 1938, in Alder Point, Cape Breton, she was a daughter of the late Stephen and Elizabeth (Paquet) Leblanc. She lived in Alder Point, Ontario and Annapolis Valley before settling in St. Francis Harbour with her husband, then Antigonish for the last number of years. In earlier years, she worked for Department of Transportation, Canso fish plant and the crab plant. She enjoyed music and dancing and most Saturday nights would be seen on the dance floor or enjoying a kitchen party, singing. She loved to carry on! She is survived by two sons, Derrick (Denise) Grant, Antigonish; Sandy Grant, St. Francis Harbour; two grandchildren, Brandon and Breanna Grant, Antigonish; two sisters, Theresa, Marie; two brothers, William, Winston; good friend, Dan. She was predeceased by her husband; Neil Grant; two brothers, Edward, Joseph; six sisters, Freda, Martha, Rita, Thelma, Lorraine, Isabean.
