Annie Roach

Funeral service for the late Annie Roach, 92, was held February 18 in St. Peter’s Church, Cheticamp, with Father Peter LeBlanc officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery in a later date. Mrs. Roach died February 14, 2019, in Sacred Heart Community Health Centre, Cheticamp. Born in Guysborough Intervale, she was a daughter of the late John and Cora (Hampton) Knocton. She enjoyed dancing, playing cards, doing crossword puzzles and was a loyal Blue Jay’s fan. She is survived by two sons, Stephen P. Roach, Lethbridge, Alberta; Brian J. Roach (Patricia), Cheticamp; two daughters, Juanita (Ernie) LeBlanc, East Margaree; Lorraine (Paul) Munce, Huntsville, Ontario; daughter-in-law, Victorine Roach; seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; special family friend, Lexie MacNeil; sister, Betty Lawlor, Antigonish; sister-in-law, Catherine Knocton, Antigonish; brother-in-law, Albert Delorey, Middle Sackville; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph P.M. Roach; son, Kevin J. Roach; sister, Mary Delorey; two brothers, Joe Knocton, Charlie Knocton; sister-in-law, Minetta Knocton; brother-in-law, Gerald Lawlor.
