ANTHONY GEORGE 'TONY' LEBLANC LEBLANC
Funeral service for the late Anthony George ‘Tony’ LeBlanc, 71, Tracadie, Antigonish County, was held August 12 in St. Peter’s Church, Tracadie, with Father John Barry officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
Mr. LeBlanc died August 8, 2019.
Readers at the funeral Mass were Lori Kinslow and Kirsten Lee Egbert. Triena Partridge and Ryan Partridge presented the offertory gifts. Eucharistic minister was Lorraine McKeough. Music was provided by Ty Wallace and Lenny and Charlie Mason.
Active pallbearers were Larry Wood, Charlie Mason, George White, Troy LeBlanc, Greg Partridge and Troy Dunbar.
Honorary pallbearers were members of Brotherhood of Ironworkers Local 752.
Born March 25, 1948, in Dartmouth, he was a son of the late George and May (Dort) LeBlanc. He was an ironworker, working for many years as a member of Ironworkers Local 736 in Ontario and Local 752 in Nova Scotia. He was passionate about his work and took great pride in his job up until the time of his retirement. He was a "jack-of-all-trades" and could turn his hand to anything. Family was very important to him and he especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Theresa (Brow); daughter, Rachael (Charlie), Antigonish; two grandchildren, Julissa, Jaden; sister, Linda (Larry) Wood, Aulds Cove; two brothers, Robbie, Antigonish; Ralph (Hazel) Dort, Kelowna, British Columbia; sister-in-law, Debbie LeBlanc, Antigonish; several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his son, Robert Anthony, in infancy; brother, Larry; nephew, Larry, Jr.
