ANTONY N. O’ROURKE

Funeral service for the late Antony N. O’Rourke, 83, Hudson, Quebec, was held June 6 in Hudson. Born November 12, 1935, in London, England, he was a son of the late Barbara (Mort) and Charles O’Rourke. He graduated from engineering at St. F. X. University and NS Technical University. He worked in Montreal for most of his life at Northern Electric and Nortel. After retirement, he and his wife moved to Hudson to be near water and enjoy sailing. He is survived by two sons, Hugh, Tony (Marina); three daughters, Patricia (Denis), Mary (late Barry Kreikle), Maura (Doug); seven grandchildren, Adam, Shanna, Joel, Patrick, Kelly, James, Mary Catherine; nine siblings, Oliver (Margaret), Dartmouth; Charles, Aylmer, Quebec; Magdalen, Toronto; Barbara (Paul) Phillips, Antigonish; Natalie (Paul) White, Aylmer, QC; Lelia (Frank) Machnik, Heatherton, Antigonish County; Oonagh (late Bill Grady), Halifax; Janet (MacIntosh) O’Rourke, Fall River; Mary (Allister) McCarron, St. Andrews, Antigonish County; many nieces and nephews; extended family in England. He was predeceased by his wife, Joan; brother, Bernie; nephew, Shaun McCarron.
