ARTHUR JOSEPH MCKENZIE

A celebration of life for the late Arthur Joseph McKenzie, 69, Cleveland, was held September 28 in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury. Burial will be held at a later date.

Mr. McKenzie died September 20, 2019.

Born November 22, 1949 in Glace Bay, he was a son of the late Arthur and Jermina (Gallant) McKenzie of Reserve Mines. He had a small, but very close, circle of friends with whom he enjoyed gardening, fishing, playing crib, going for drives, trying new restaurants and various carpentry and mechanical projects. He was a proud father and grandfather. Spending time with his son and grandchildren brought him great joy.

He is survived by his son, Shawn McKenzie (Catherine); two grandchildren, Carson and Raina MacKenzie; friend, Ida Allen; two brothers, Doug (Jody) McKenzie, Murray (Dorothy) McKenzie; three sisters, Peggy (Tom) Foley, Agnes Gill, Georgina McKenzie; many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by brother, Michael McKenzie; sister, Anna Lee.
