Audrey Mary McNamara

Funeral service for the late Audrey Mary McNamara, 80, Port Hawkesbury, formerly of Point Tupper, was held December 10 in St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Port Hawkesbury, with Father Conrad Edwards officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery. Mrs. McNamara died December 7, 2018, in Strait Richmond Hospital, Evanston. Born in Point Tupper, Richmond County, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Mary (Richard) Wright. A devoted stay-at-home mom, she was a member of the Point Tupper Heritage Association, St. Joseph Parish, Port Hawkesbury, and a former member of St. Francis de Sales Parish, Lower River Inhabitants. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by her daughter, Sylvia (Greg) Brewer; granddaughter, Vanessa; sister-in-law, Evelyn MacInnis; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Harold McNamara; two brothers, George and Gerald Wright. Memorial donations may be made to Strait Richmond Palliative Care Society or a charity of choice.
