Barbara Ida Breen

Funeral service for the late Barbara Ida Breen, 59, Aulds Cove, was held December 14 in St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church, with Father Allan McPhee officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery. Ms. Breen died December 10, 2018, in St. Martha’s Regional Hospital. Born June 5, 1959, in Antigonish, she was the daughter of the late Boniface and Irene (Benoit) Breen. She grew up in Cape Jack and resided in Auld’s Cove. She worked many years waitressing in different establishments until she could no longer work because of other medical conditions. She enjoyed hockey games and was an avid fan of the Chicago Black Hawks. She was also a fan of the band, Andre and the Giants. She is survived by two sons, Bradley McKinnon (Danielle), Brenton McKinnon (Trina); six grandchildren, Kendra, Kelsey, Kailey, Tyson, Dawson, Kaiden; three brothers, Joseph, Michael (Evangeline), Gerald (Sylvia); four sisters, Elizabeth Breen (James), Carol Latimer (Charlie), Marion DeCoste (Gilbert), twin sister, Bernadette; many nieces and nephews; special godson, Aaron Breen. She was predeceased by sister, Jean Walsh; two brothers, Georgie and Arthur Breen. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice. Online condolences: www.greensfuneralhome.ca
