Bessie Mae Pelley

Funeral service for the late Bessie Mae Pelley, 89, Sunnyville, Guysborough County, was held February 18 in Sunnyville United Baptist Church with Pastor Clara Jordan officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Guysborough. Mrs. Pelley died February 14, 2019, in St. Martha’s Regional Hospital, Antigonish. She enjoyed family time and gatherings and attending sports games at the local school. She enjoyed singing or humming hymns while baking, knitting, or at rest. She loved her Church and was a faithful member of Sunnyville United Baptist Church. She is survived by 16 children, Gladys (Normand), Regina, Gerald, Barbara, Jerome (Verna), Henry (Beverley), Merle (Connie), Floyd (Beverly), Gary (Rita), Peter, Robert (Elizabeth), Nancy (Terry) Dorrington, Darren, Colleen (Colynda), Michelle (Danny) Dorrington, Angel (Curtis) Jordan; 29 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Fraser, Halifax; Earl (Quenta), Dartmouth; Lillian Desmond, Upper Big Tracadie; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Stephen; son, Lawrence; two daughters, Linda, Donalda; step-grandson, Sterling; sister and brothers.
