Visitation for the late Carol Joan Boyle, 76, Antigonish, will be held January 11, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., in C.L. Curry Funeral Funeral Home, 135 College Street, Antigonish. Funeral service will be held January 12 at 11 a.m. in St. Ninian Cathedral with Father Donald MacGillivray officiating. Burial will be in New Glasgow at a later date. Mrs. Boyle died December 8, 2018. Born September 13, 1942, in New Glasgow, she was the daughter of the late James Michael and Mary Isabel (McCarron) Murphy. She was employed at Antigonish Regional High School and School Board as secretary for many years. She is survived by three sons, Kevin Francis (Lucy Mae), Croft, Antigonish County; Angus Michael (Kelly), New France; James Kenneth (Anita), Miramichi, New Brunswick; two daughters, Carol Ann, L’Arche, Antigonish; Paula Michelle (Don) Drysdale, Vancouver, British Columbia; 10 grandchildren, Colin, Alex, Jake, Brett, Charlie, Ellen, Katie, Samantha, Andrew, Riley; nine great-grandchildren, Mika, CJ, Cory, Lexie, Lilian, Maria, Fox, Charlotte, Ruby Lou; many nieces and nephews; two brothers, Kevin (Greta), Edmonton, Alberta; Brian (Helen) Edmonton; three sisters, Helen Gerrior, Aileen (Simon) Pitts, both of New Glasgow; Patricia (Rick) Muzyk, Ingramport, N.S.; six sisters-in- law, Carmella Murphy, Moncton, N.B.; Anne Marie Murphy, Halifax; Christene ‘Nina’ Flynn, Cloverville; Patsy, Pictou; Jean (Wayne) Cole, Liverpool; Mary (Chris MacDonald), Toronto; two brothers-in-law, Dan J., Antigonish; George (Shirley), Caledonia Mills. She was predeceased by two brothers, Gary and James Murphy; in-laws Catherine, Collie, Angus and Billy Boyle, Anne Gerrior, Greg Flynn; several nieces and nephews.
