Catherine Anne Stone

Funeral service for the late Catherine Anne Stone, RN, 80, Port Hawkesbury, was held February 16 in St. Joseph Parish, Port Hawkesbury, with Father Conrad Edwards officiating. Burial will be held at a later date. Mrs. Stone died February 12, 2019, in Strait Richmond Hospital. She was the youngest daughter of the late Michael and Anna Belle (MacLennan) MacDonald. She was happiest spending time with family and friends. She was a graduate of St. Rita Hospital, School of Nursing, Class of 1961, and was a faithful member of St. Joseph Parish, Port Hawkesbury. For the past year, she was a resident of Port Hawkesbury Nursing Home. She is survived by two sisters, Margaret Hart, Mary Trainor; brother, Lennan MacDonald (Irma Clancy); maternal aunt, Zena (MacLennan) Saule. She was predeceased by two brothers-in-law, Donald Hart, Dr. Royden Trainor; two nephews, John Clifford Trainor, Mark MacDonald, both in infancy; niece, Jill Taylor; grandnephew, Matthew Taylor.
