Catherine Jane Cameron

A family graveside service for the late Catherine Jane Cameron, 85, St. Peters, formerly of Grand River, will be held at a later date in Grand River Cemetery. Mrs. Cameron died July 12, 2018, at the Strait Richmond Hospital, Evanston. Born in Forchu, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Mary (MacDonald) Rafuse. She was a member of the Grand River United Church and, in later years, she attended the St. Peters United Church. She was an avid knitter and donated many of her creations to various charities. She was a member of the St. Peters United Church prayer shawl group and made many prayer shawls. She is survived by four children, Barbara (Ron), Betty (Paul), Glendon (Bella), Irene; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, John; brother, Lindsay. Memorial donations may be made to the St. Martha’s Regional Hospital or Strait Richmond Hospital palliative care units.
