Catherine Joyce Aitken

Funeral service for the late Catherine Joyce ‘Cathy’ Aitken, 68, River Bourgeois, was held August 2 in St. John the Baptist Church, River Bourgeois, with Father Antolin Asor officiating. Burial was in St. John the Baptist Parish Cemetery, River Bourgeois. Mrs. Aitken died July 27, 2018, in Strait Richmond Hospital in Evanston. Born June 19, 1950, in Montreal, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Helen (Lunn) Fougere. She was an active board member of River Bourgeois Mariner’s Society and a former member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch 47 Grand Anse Ladies Auxiliary and St. John the Baptist Parish C.W.L. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Brian Rodney; two daughters, Wendy Sampson (Leon), Louisdale; Carole Cameron (Neil), Fort MacMurray; two sons, James, Michael (Melinda), both of Fort MacMurray; nine grandchildren, Hannah, Bradley, Tara, Emma, Katie, Kayla, Nyla, Zachaey, Ryan; three brothers, Michael (Valerie), River Bourgeois; Richard (Lynn), Quebec; Paul (Julie), Ontario.
