Catherine ‘Kaye’ Sabina MacDougall

Funeral service for the late Catherine ‘Kaye’ Sabina MacDougall, 86, Inverness, was held March 26 in Stella Maris Church, Inverness, with Father Dan MacDonald officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery at a later date. Mrs. MacDougall died March 19, 2019, in Inverness Consolidated Memorial Hospital. Born November 28, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Peter and Annie Muise. She was a lifelong resident of Inverness, first in the Red Rows and later at Broad Cove Banks. She owned The Ceilidh Restaurant and Central Clothing as well as the family restaurant, The Casual Gourmet. She was an active member of the Ceilidh Trail CB Club, holding several positions over the years. She enjoyed fiddle music, cards and bingo. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, James ‘Parr’ MacDougall; son, Angus, Orillia, Ontario; daughter, Rose Annette (Peter Hart), Inverness; three grandchildren, Gaelan, Liam and Breton Parr; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by four brothers, Johnny, Peter, Patty, Billy; two sisters, Rose Marie, Anne. Memorial donations may be made to Central Inverness Palliative Care Society.
