Cecelia Ann Kirk

Funeral service for the late Cecelia Ann Kirk, 79, Glenelg, Guysborough County, was held November 10 in Kirk Memorial United Church, Aspen, with Reverend Derek Elsworth officiating. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Glenelg.       

Mrs. Kirk died November 7, 2019, in St. Mary’s Memorial Hospital, Sherbrooke.     

Born in Country Harbour, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Elsie (Hudson) Hines. She had a sense of humor, enjoyed playing darts, cards, bingo and doing word puzzles.     

She is survived by four daughters, Heather, Antigonish; Cindy, Calgary; Joni (Doug), Aspen; Colleen, Alberta; two sons, Stephen, Antigonish; Danny (Kalysa), Glenelg; 12 grandchildren, Kasey, Megan, Lisa, Chelsea, Dawson, Ashton, David, Kevin, Cindy, Allen, Norman, Samar; several great-grandchildren; four sisters, Verna Styger, Maisie Phinney, Tootsie (Bobby) Cunningham, Ethel (Scott) MacDonald; four brothers, Clancy (Helen), Walter (Jeannette), Delbert, Gordon (Helen); sister-in-law, Helen; many nieces, nephews and their families.     

She was predeceased by her husband, Graham; brother, Bruce; three brothers-in-law, Clint Phinney, John Styger, Howard Kirk; sister-in-law, Eileen.     

Memorial donations may be made to Diabetes Association of Canada, Nova Scotia Branch.
