Chad Christopher Landry

Funeral service for the late Chad Christopher Landry, 39, River Bourgeois, Richmond County, was held February 28 in St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, River Bourgeois, with Father Antolin Asor officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery. Mr. Landry died February 24, 2019, in the Palliative Care Unit, Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney. Born April 23, 1979, in Antigonish, he was a son of Vera Landry-Bourque and the late Charles George Landry. He was raised in River Bourgeois and attended school at St. Peter’s District High School. He worked at Minacs Worldwide Call Centre in Halifax before falling ill. He lived in Halifax for six years before returning to River Bourgeois with his daughter Charlie, investing all his efforts in loving and raising her. He was involved in the medical community in gaining information for science on his disorder to benefit others that survived him. Besides his mother and step-father, Vera (Basil Bourque) Landry-Bourque; he is survived by his daughter, Charlie Landry; two brothers, Ronald (Erin) Landry, Wainwright, Alberta; Craig (Daisy) Landry, Port Hawkesbury; five nieces and nephews, Jacob Landry, Behn Landry, Asher Landry, Sihdney Landry and Tristin Landry. He was predeceased by his grandparents, John and Rita Landry; Gus and Annie McNamara. Memorial donations may be made to St. John the Baptist Cemetery Fund or Strait Richmond Palliative Care.
