CHRISTINA ‘CHRISSIE’ PIKE

Christina ‘Chrissie’ Pike

Funeral service for the late Christina ‘Chrissie’ Pike, 87, Antigonish, was held August 12 in Lochaber United Church with Reverend Doug Stewart officiating.

Mrs. Pike died August 6, 2019, in R.K MacDonald Nursing Home.

Reader at the funeral service was Gina Delorey. Eulogists were Ashley and Megan Cameron. Music was provided by Glen Aker.

Born March 31, 1932, she was a daughter of the late George and Mable (Turnbull) Barter. She enjoyed skating and swimming across Lochaber Lake, watching baseball, reading and spending time with her family. She developed a recent love and appreciation for art and participated avidly with the arts, music and other resident programs at the RK. She possessed a deep appreciation for all veterans who served Canada, including her brothers and her late husband, John Pike.

She is survived by two sons, Walter (Judy) Cameron, Tim (Michele) Cameron; 14 grandchildren, Charlene, Geordie, Gina, Sara, Daniel, David, Jason, Matthew, Ashley, Megan, Ryan, Justin, Jessica, Molly; 13 great-grandchildren, Alanna, Lilly, Avery, Jagger, Piper, Rocky, Reese, Isla, Zoe, Liam, Ethan, Sophia, Leo; two sisters, Vera Stewart, Muriel Ross; many nieces, nephews and special friends.

She was predeceased by her husband, John Pike; former husband, Angus Cameron; son, George (Aggie) Cameron; two daughters, Marge (Lilo) Ribera, Ethel (Cedric) MacEachern; six  brothers, Walter, George, Stan, Allister, John, William; two sisters, Ruth, Margaret.
