Clarence McDaniel

Funeral service for the late Clarence McDaniel, 69, Burdett, Alberta, was held February 12 in St. John the Baptist Church, Brook Village, with Father Bernie MacDonald officiating. Burial was in St. John the Baptist Cemetery. Mr. McDaniel died February 4, 2019. Born August 25, 1949, in Brook Village, he was a son of the late Bill and Marie (Beaton) McDaniel. He had spent most of his life as a hard rock miner. He never lost his love for the place of his birth. He enjoyed telling his family mining stories playing jokes on his siblings. He is survived by four sons, Grant McDaniel, Port Hood; Leonard McDaniel, The Pas, Manitoba; Ashley McDaniel, Chris McDaniel, Lloydminster, Saskatchewan; three brothers, Colin McDaniel, Port Hood; Gerry (Cheryl), Port Hawkesbury; Francis (Anne Marie), Brook Village; two sisters, Mary Claire (Charlie) MacDonald, Port Hood; Elizabeth (Wayne) Watson, Brookfield; former wife, Dolly McDaniel; seven nieces, 16 nephews. He was predeceased by three brothers, Matt, Sam, Ronnie; sister-in-law, Hughena McDaniel. Memorial donations may be made to St. John the Baptist Cemetery Fund, Brook Village, Central Inverness Palliative Care Society, Inverness Hospital or a charity of choice.
