CONSTANCE MARY 'CONNIE' DALTON

Funeral service for the late Constance ‘Connie’ Mary Dalton 100, Portland, Maine, was held in Boston, Massachusetts, in the chapel at St. Michael Cemetery. Burial was in St. Michael Cemetery.

Mrs. Dalton died November 3, 2019, in St. Joseph’s Long Term Care Residence, Portland, Maine.

Born March 8, 1919, in Cape Jack, Antigonish County, she was a daughter of the late Henry Augustus and Elizabeth Ann (DeCoste) Brow.  She graduated from St. Martha’s Hospital School of Nursing and went on to specialize in surgical nursing.  She worked at Annapolis General Hospital, Annapolis Royal and St. Rita Hospital, Sydney. She also nursed at Milton Hospital in Massachusetts and Massachusetts Eye and Ear Hospital. She was a woman of strong faith, was very talented and had many hobbies, including sewing, knitting, crocheting, painting and ceramics.  She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

She is survived by sister-in-law, Eileen Brow, Hamilton, Ontario; niece, Denise Brow, Oakville, Ontario; nephew Colin Brow (Gillian Love), Hamilton, Ontario; two grand-nephews, Thomas Brow and Brandon Brow; one grand-niece, Jamie Brow.

She was predeceased by her husband, Orville Joseph ‘O.J.’ Dalton; sister, Eldora Jane (Brow) Halligan; brother, Gerald Henry Brow.
