Creighton Robert ‘CR’ Leonard

Funeral service for the late Creighton Robert ‘CR’ Leonard, 82, West Bay, will be held February 10 in West Bay United Church with Reverend Donna Lovelace officiating. Burial will be in West Bay Cemetery. Mr. Leonard died January 21, 2019, in St. Martha’s Regional Hospital, Antigonish. Born in West Bay, he was a son of the late Creighton Robert and Annie May (MacMillan) Leonard. Upon retiring from the Canadian Armed Forces, he returned to West Bay where he was an active member of the community, the West Bay United Church and Royal Canadian Legion Branch 47, Grande Anse. He is survived by sister, Minnie Alice, Antigonish; two brothers, Mitchell (Marguerite), Donald, both of West Bay; three sisters-in-law, Madeline, Hamilton, Ontario; Tena, St. Peters; Beverly, West Bay; brother-in-law, Arvid Ferguson; former spouse, Margaret, Antigonish; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters, Jean Cresine, Frances Ferguson; seven brothers, Herbert, Alexander, Walter, Lloyd, Ross, Lawrence, Ewen.
