EILEEN MAY HAWLEY
Funeral service for the late Eileen May Hawley, 82, Port Hood, was held August 28 in St. Peter’s Church, Port Hood, with Father Vincent vanZutphen officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
Mrs. Hawley died August 22, 2019.
Born October 31, 1936, in Middlesex, England, she was a daughter of the late Lesley and Dorothy (Skingle) Wooton. She enjoyed playing bingo and cards. After moving to Port Hood with her late husband Alex, they loved to entertain neighbours and friends and enjoyed socializing with them at the Guitar Club as well as local parades and events throughout the year. She was an active member of the legion and St. Peter's Parish.
She is survived by two sons, Stephen (Barb) Kinsella, Edward Kinsella; daughter, Marilyn (Dave) Stevenson; stepson, John (Carmen) Hawley; stepdaughter, Christine (Gary) Ashthrop; eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; sister, Wendy Houghton, Bicester, England; brother, Ted Wootton, Ruislip England.
She was predeceased by two husbands, Alex Hawley, Edward Kinsella; two daughters, Debbie Kinsella, Sandra (Kevin) Hogan; grandson, Edward Kinsella; five siblings, Jean, John, Patricia, Valerie, Lesley.
Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association of Nova Scotia or Inverary Manor, Inverness.
