A memorial service for the late Elizabeth ‘Ann’ England, 72, Grand Anse, Richmond County, was held July 24, in the Rocky Bay Irish Club, with Reverend Susan Slater officiating. Mrs. England died July 14, 2018, in Strait Richmond Hospital, Evanston. Born Dec. 17, 1945, in Arichat, she was a daughter of Top and Ellen Kehoe. She worked in the field of human services as a counselor care worker with people with special needs, both in the school system, community and, most recently, a residential care home for seniors, Heritage House, Port Hood. She also volunteered for different not-for-profit organizations; Rocky Bay Neighbourhood Association, Rocky Bay Irish Club/Quilters, Seniors Coalition and the Isle Madame Garden Club. She is survived by her husband, Sidney England; son, Chris Gurney (Lyn Britten); three grandchildren, Megan, Brittney, Will; two step-sons, Mark (Angelyn, Luke, Miles), Gerry (Leigh, Matthew, Lyndsay, Kaleigh, Robyn, Brady); step-daughter, Beryl (Brooke, Blake); two sisters, Rose (Bill Bowen), Dee (Bill Keating). She was predeceased by brother, Gerald Kehoe; sister, Mary Ellen; sister-in-law, Valerie Rogers; brother-in-law, Raymond Rogers.
