Elizabeth ‘Liz’ Margaret Sampson

A graveside service for the late Elizabeth ‘Liz’ Margaret Sampson, 94, Richmond Villa, St. Peter’s, formerly of Grand Greve, will be held at Holy Guardian Angel Cemetery at a later date. Mrs. Sampson died April 11, 2019. Born November 27, 1924, in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Charlie and Jessie Mountain. She was an independent person who used her quick wit and sense of humour to speak her mind and entertain those around her. She was generous with her time and talents. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, crocheting and other crafts. She was a caring babysitter who took pride and pleasure in looking after others. She was the last surviving member of her family of 21 siblings. She is survived by son, Joseph (Lil), Winnipeg; two daughters, Gail (Alec) Martell, Grand Greve; Diana (Leo) Sampson, Sampsonville; many grandchildren; several great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her first husband, Russell J. Cotie; second husband, Gilbert C Sampson; grandson, Enos Sampson. Memorial donations may be made to Richmond Villa, St. Peter’s.
