ELSIE VIOLA (BORDEN) MORRIS

A celebration of life for the late Elsie Viola (Borden) Morris, 89, Lincolnville, was held November 5 in Tracadie United Baptist Church with her niece Reverend Elaine Walcott officiating. Burial was in Sunnyview Cemetery.

Mrs. Morris died October 29, 2019.

Born November 24, 1929, in Lincolnville, she was a daughter of the late Mary Rose ‘Rosie’ and William ‘Bill’ Borden. She considered herself an ‘antique teenager’. She enjoyed an interesting conversation with an old or new friend, dancing, house parties and sewing.

She is survived by daughter, Catherine ‘Debbie’ Reddick, Lincolnville; three sons, Kenneth ‘Ken’ Jones (Judy), Havre Boucher; Donald, Antigonish; Lawrence, Sydney; chosen sons, Blaise Ash, Glen Beals;19 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by son, Theodore ‘Teddy’ Borden; grandson, Corporal Lionel Desmond; two granddaughters, Denise Borden, Aaliyah Desmond; three sisters, Margaret Lillian, Aretha Mae, Dorothy; two brothers, George Albert, Private William-John; nephew, Roger MacLellan.
