ELWIN LAYES
Funeral service for the late Elwin Gerard Layes, 71, Dartmouth, will be held August 30 in Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Church, Stellarton, with Father Barrett Clare-Johnson officiating.
Mr. Layes died August 14, 2018, in Dartmouth General Hospital.
Born in Antigonish, he was a son of the late Duncan and Mary (Farrell) Layes.
He is survived by his estranged wife, Marie (Babin); two daughters, Angela (John) Fraser, Abercrombie; Caroline (Greg) Page, Moncton; grandson, Sean; two brothers, Thomas ‘Tommy’ (Sandy), Carstairs, Alberta; Duncan (Bev), Ontario; two sisters-in-law, Lynn Layes, Halifax; Helen Layes, Antigonish; many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by brother, Andre.
