Eric Howard Winsor

A private burial for the late Eric Howard Winsor, 73, Port Hawkesbury, will take place at a later date. Mr. Winsor died May 23, 2019, in the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney. Born in North Sydney, he was a son of the late Walter ‘Dick’ and Marguerite (Camus) Winsor. He retired from Nova Scotia Power, where he was employed for 31 years. For a period of time, he also served as a councillor with the Town of Port Hawkesbury. He was well known for his love of Christmas and the beautiful Christmas displays that brought joy to young and old alike. He was a jack-of-all trades and could pretty much accomplish anything he put his mind to, from woodworking to photography. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Eleanor (MacGillivray); four children, Darlene (Peter), Truro; Eric Jr. (Karen), Port Hawkesbury; Rhonda (Adam), Tantallon; Brian (Samantha), Fredericton; three grandchildren, Riley, Maggie, Auston.
