In later years, she began making quilts and made many for family and friends. Her summers were spent in PEI- her husband’s home - at the old school near Fortune Bridge. She was the last surviving member of her family.

She is survived by two daughters, Debbie Coffin (Guy Beaulieu), Timberlea; Joanne Coffin (Jim Fry), Port Hawkesbury; four grandchildren, Nicole, Kerry, Aidan, Josh; cherished friend, Marie and her husband, Howard MacKinnon.

She was predeceased by her husband, Alva; four sisters, Irene Murray, Stella MacMaster, Kaye Murphy, Betty Murphy; four brothers, Ernest, Henry, Gardiner, Freddie.
