Funeral service for the late Golda Ilene Noseworthy, 91, MacLellan’s Brook/Port Hawkesbury, was held June 30 in St. Mark’s United Church, Port Hawkesbury, with Pastor Maggie Plant officiating. Burial was in Grantville Cemetery.

Funeral service for the late Golda Ilene Noseworthy, 91, MacLellan’s Brook/Port Hawkesbury, was held June 30 in St. Mark’s United Church, Port Hawkesbury, with Pastor Maggie Plant officiating. Burial was in Grantville Cemetery. Mrs. Noseworthy died June 26, 2019, at home. Born August 6, 1927, in Jackson’s Arm, Newfoundland, she was a daughter of the late Bramwell and Violet (Ford) Stride. She was a member of St. Mark’s United Church, Port Hawkesbury. She had a deep faith in God and lived the life of a true Christian. She is survived by eight children, Karen (Tom) Keefe, Cleveland; Archie (Elaine), Grantville; Brenda (Faron) Lush, Greenhill; Brian (Denise), Port Hastings; Daryle (Denise), MacLellan’s Brook; Robert (Marie), Grantville; Denise (Monty) Snow, MacLellan’s Brook; Geri Noseworthy (Curtis), Cook’s Brook; 20 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; six siblings, Jim (Carrie) Stride, Lewis (Verna) Stride, Julie Avery, Doug (Eileen) Stride, Howard (Sheila) Stride, Sheila (Wayne) Guy; sister-in-law, Adelaide Stride. She was predeceased by her husband, Jim; four brothers, Dennis, Ralph, Harold, Randolph; sister, Gladys; four sisters-in-law, Emily Stride, Cluda Stride, Marjorie Stride, Whillmenia Stride; brother-in-law, Jim Avery.
