Harold Silver Jordan
A family graveside service for the late Harold Silver Jordan, 83, Sonora, Guysborough County, will take place at a later date in Riverside Cemetery, Sonora.
Mr. Jordan died April 25, 2019, in St. Mary’s Memorial Hospital, Sherbrooke.
Born in Jordanville, he was a son of the late Freeman and Nina (Rudolph) Jordan. He was a lobster fisherman for 60 years. He also did carpentry and masonry work in the off season. In his younger years, he enjoyed hunting with his friend, Terry Taylor and their dogs. He was the original captain of the Marine Hockey League for Indian Harbour Lake. He enjoyed watching his grandsons play hockey and his granddaughters figure skate. He and his wife enjoyed camping and attending country music festivals throughout Nova Scotia.
He is survived by his wife, Audrey (Burns); son, Thane (Cindy); daughter, Debbie (Glen) Bingley; four grandchildren, Kale (Michelle), Cody (Brittany), Shanna (Justin), Justine (Eric); great-grandson, Caleb Bingley; two brothers, Ernest, Raymond; sister, Gladys (Edward) Hughes; sister-in-law, Joan Jordan; several nieces, nephews and their families.
He was predeceased by two brothers, Alvin, Leonard; two sisters-in-law, Barbara and Leta Jordan.
