Funeral service for the late Hattie Isabel ‘Belles’ Burns, 71, Tracadie, was held April 25 in St. Peter’s Church, Tracadie, with Father John Barry officiating. Mrs. Burns died April 22, 2019, at home. Readers at the funeral Mass were Terry Fraser, Paul Gaudreau and Anne Marie Long. Trevor Burns, Wanda Burns and Darren DeCoste presented the offertory gifts. Eucharistic minister was Nancy DiStefano. Music was provided by Ty Wallace. Pallbearers were Trevor Burns, Eddie DeWolfe, Donavon DeCoste, Shawn Perry, Anna DeCoste and Rodney DeCoste. Born August 3, 1947, in Tracadie, she was a daughter of the late Joseph C. and Annie Jane (Pettipas) Delorey. She is survived by daughter, Wanda (Eddy) DeWolfe, Edmonton, Alberta; two sons, Trevor Burns, Darren DeCoste, both of Tracadie; four grandchildren; five great-grandsons; five siblings, Mary Gaudreau, Antigonish; George (Rita) Delorey, Tracadie; Lillian Brister, Mattie Settlement; Kathleen (Peter) Schmitz, Weston, Ontario; Nancy (Romeo) DiStefano, Tracadie, two sisters-in-law, Florence Delorey, Trenton; Theresa Delorey, St. Andrews. She was predeceased by Archie Burns; Anthony DeCoste; five brothers, Stanley, Willie, Buddy, Jim and John Delorey; sister, Emma Fraser; three brothers-in-law, Charles Brister, Earl Fraser, Pat Gaudreau; two sisters-in-law, Viola Crispo and Yvette Delorey.
