Funeral service for the late Helen Dorothy Hodgson, 100, Sherbrooke, formerly of Country Harbour, Guysborough County, was held March 13 in Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Country Harbour, with RevHelen Dorothy erend Sue Channen officiating. Burial will be in Holy Trinity Anglican Cemetery at a later date. Mrs. Hodgson died March 10, 2019, in High-Crest Sherbrooke Home for Special Care. Born in Port Dufferin, she was a daughter of the late William and Mary (McLellan) Barkhouse. She was the oldest surviving member of Holy Trinity Anglican Church and had been a member for 70 years. She is survived by three sons, MacKay (Audrey), MacPherson Mills; Angus (Darlene), Country Harbour; Bernie (Jessie Lee) North River; two daughters, Catherine Levasseur, Lower Sackville; Marie (Wayne) Veinotte, Country Harbour; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; brother, Norman Barkhouse, Port Dufferin; two sisters, Jean Martin, Watt Section; Carmie Fleet, Dartmouth; many nieces, nephews and their families. She was predeceased by her husband, Harry; two sons, Bayne; one, in infancy; a granddaughter, in infancy; daughter-in-law, Roma; son-in-law, Noel; four brothers, Winsloe, Thomas, Basil, George; six sisters, Edith, Lila, Freda, Alice, Nina, Sadie.
