Helen ‘Edna’ (Breen) Boucher
Funeral service for the late Helen ‘Edna’ (Breen) Boucher, 86, was held November 8 in Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church, Stellarton, with Father Barrett Clare-Johnson officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery. Mrs. Boucher died November 4, 2018. Born in Cape Jack, she was married to Charles Gerrard ‘Charlie’ Boucher for 37 years, before his death in 1990. They lived in Ontario before moving back to Cape Jack to raise their family. In 1976, the family moved to New Glasgow where she owned and operated Edna’s Tailoring. She lived the remainder of her life with her youngest daughter Carol and her family. She lived a faith-filled life and was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish where she served on the CWL. She is survived by seven daughters, Annabeth Boyle (John), Mary Smith (Dale), Helen Boucher, Sheila Wilson (Shawn), Linda MacGregor (Bruce), Charlene O’Neill (D’Arcy), Carol Curley (Terry); son, James Boucher (Kim); 20 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Kathleen Hureau; brother, Damien Breen. She was predeceased by her husband, Charlie.
