HILDA ANNABELLE MACEACHERN

Hilda Annabelle Maceachern

Funeral service for the late Hilda Annabelle MacEachern, 68, Monastery, Antigonish County, was held December 28 in St. Thomas Church, Salmon River, Guysborough County, with Father Callistus Abazie officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery.

Mrs. MacEachern died December 21, 2019, in St. Martha’s Regional Hospital.

Readers at the funeral Mass were Roseanne Hanifen, Amanda MacDonald and Carol Ann Bowie. Doreen Boudreau and Hazel Cleary presented the offertory gifts. Eucharistic minister was Eddie Hanifen. Music was provided by Tyrus Wallace.

Active pallbearers were Roland MacPherson, Anthony MacDonald, Andrew MacEachern, Terry Boudreau, Jr., Jody Bowman and Ernie Pelley.

Honorary pallbearers were Shakey, nieces and nephews.

Born May 17, 1951, in Guysborough, she was the daughter of the late Roland and Annie (Jones) Worth. She worked as a traffic controller for more than 25 years, retiring from Nova Construction in 2018. She enjoyed dancing, pickling, making bread, and being in the outdoors hunting and fishing.

She is survived by seven children, Johnny (Joanne), Antigonish; Roland, Lantz: Charlie (Allison), Mt. Uniacke; Annie (David), Antigonish; Anthony (Natasha), Pinevale; Ernie (Joanna), Grand Prairie; Louise (Cory), Monastery; her grandchildren; one great-grandchild; four brothers, Bernie, Charlie, Jackie, Donald; seven sisters, Irene, Marie, Isabel, Hazel, Rita, Patricia, Doreen.

She was predeceased by daughter, Yvonne; son, Gordon; five brothers, Joe, Bill, Angus, Leo, Leslie.
