JAMES EDWARD 'JIM' HOLLORAN
James Edward 'Jim' Holloran, 86, Pirate Harbour, died December 1, 2019, at home.
Born July 14, 1933, in Marshy Hope, he was a son of the late Jim Holloran and Margaret ‘Bessie’ Carter, Sand Point, Guysborough County. He went to Toronto at age 16 and made many life-long friends, returning to Nova Scotia in 1973 to work many jobs including NSPC, Seaboard, Super Port Marine, school bus driver, operator of Jim’s Irving and owner/operator of Jim’s Upholstery and Forest and Stream Auto Body. He enjoyed wood working, gardening and lending a helping hand.
He is survived by his wife, Theresa (Grady)(Leet) Holloran; daughter, Anna (Allister) DeCoste, Antigonish; step-daughters, Lori, Kimberly Leet (Chris), Ottawa; Cyril (Shannon) Leet, Tottenham; special step-daughter, Laura Leet Holloran (Jim), Toronto; three grandchildren; brother, Henry ‘Bud’ O’Holloran, Sand Point; several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by two sisters, Anna Marie and Betti ‘Sara’; two brothers-in-law, Chuck Peters, Jim Heberson; stepfather, George Carter; first wife, Barb; second wife, Joan.
