JAMES ‘KENNETH’ GORMAN

Funeral service for the late James ‘Kenneth’ Gorman, 67, East Tracadie, was held August 26 in St. Peter’s Church, Tracadie, with Father John Barry and Father Daniel Boudreau officiating.

Mr. Gorman died August 21, 2019.

Readers at the funeral Mass were Shara Gorman Stewart, Raja Samant and Trevor Gorman. Grandchildren Jesse, Willow, Luke, Carter and Jaia presented the offertory gifts. Music was provided by Tyrus Wallace.

Pallbearers were Lloyd DeCoste, Clifford Boudreau, Danny Bowie, Angus Cotie, Eugene DeCoste and Tommy Fillmore.

Born January 10, 1952, to Sarah and Joseph Gorman, he was the second youngest of nine children. On March 3, 1973, he married Muriel ‘Mumsy’ DeCoste. Throughout his life, he worked tirelessly as a farmer and a truck driver. He enjoyed early morning breakfasts and coffees with his friends, playing cards or crib, his wife’s baking and being with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed music and dancing.

He is survived by his wife, Muriel (DeCoste); four daughters, Lee Ann (Abhi), Amy (Kevin), April, Stephanie (Farhan); six grandchildren, Raja, Jesse, Willow, Jaia, Carter, Luke; two step-grandchildren, Paige, Brooke.

Memorial donations can be made to the 4.1 Vascular Unit at the Halifax Infirmary, 1796 Summer St., Halifax, N.S., B3H 3A7.
