John 'Bruce' Matheson

Funeral service for the late John 'Bruce' Matheson, 61, Port Hastings, was held May 3 in Grand River Presbyterian Church, with Reverend Bob Lyle officiating. Mr. Matheson died April 28, 2019, at home. Born April 15, 1958, he was a son of the late Duncan and Dinah Matheson, Grand River. He was employed by the Strait Regional Education Center for 38 years. He was a skilled mechanic and could often be found lending a helping hand to anyone in need. He could often be found at a hockey rink or a ball field. He is survived by his wife, Marlene, (Boudreau) Matheson; three sons, Richard (Angie), Port Hastings; Ryan (Suzanne), Truro; Robert (Samantha), River Bourgeois; nine grandchildren; twin brother, Bradley (Priscilla), St. Peter’s; sister, Augusta; in-laws, David and Maura Boudreau, River Bourgeois; brother-in-law, Blair (Katie) Boudreau, St. Peter’s; many nieces and nephews.
