John Louis Gaudet

Funeral service for the late John Louis Gaudet, 83, Janvrin’s Island, was held January 23 in Our Lady of Assumption Church, Arichat, with Father Antolin Asor officiating. Burial will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, West Arichat, at a later date. Mr. Gaudet died January 18, 2019, in Strait Richmond Hospital, Evanston. Born in Janvrin’s Island, he was a son of the late Peter and Gladys (George) Gaudet. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Lorraine DeRoach; two daughters, Sheila Hill (Billy), Janvrin’s Island; Lisa McNamara (Mike), Port Hawkesbury; son, John (Della), Janvrin’s Island; three stepchildren, Sharon Dort (Jerry), Arichat; Sheldon DeRoach (Gwenn), Dartmouth; Shawn DeRoach (Yamile), Columbia; eight grandchildren, BJ, Farrah, Willow, Savannah, Jordan, Madison, Garrison, Ainslee; seven step-grandchildren, Paul, Kelly, Abbey, Cody, Ryan, MacKalen, Chelsea; five great-grandchildren, Amarachi, Chiamaka, Charlotte, Sophie, Corbin; four step great-grandchildren, Samantha, Cassandra, Mia, William; brother, Godfrey (Mathilda), Janvrin’s Island; brother-in-law, Donald Bellefontaine, Janvrin’s Island.
